Holmenkollen Ski Jump is one of the newest in the world, and one of the first designer ski jumps. It also constitutes a monument boasting world-class engineering. Designed by JDS Architects, this ski jump rises 58 meters in the air, cantilevering a further 69 meters.
The ski jump includes a ski tower at the very top, which can be visited and enjoy a spectacular view of Oslo and the Oslofjord. This unique structure hosts the Ski Museum which presents the history of skiing over the past 4,000 years, as well as the Polar expeditions of Fridtjof Nansen and Roald Amundsen and some historic glimpses from the Winter Olympics at Lillehammer in 1994 and in Oslo in 1952.
