The Music Hall project is located in a valley, surrounded by mountains. The project talks on two scales: the place and the user. A new façade faces the city by a sequence of vertical plans. The space between each plan allows the user to view the surroundings. The sequence achieves a constant but variable light feeling for the visitor. The hollow spaces in each vertical plane creates a longitudinal walk-through section. The floor is modulated by steps on which you can either sit down or stand up to listen the music. Additionally, the curved ceiling in the hollow longitudinal walk-through section improves the room’s acoustics.
