The Basque Culinary Center, located in San Sebastián, Spain, is a building which aims at guaranteeing the continuity of cuisine as a centre for innovation. The center will strive to generate high-level knowledge and training of qualified professionals.
The building has been designed by Spanish firm Vaumm, and is characterised by five shifting bands bordering each storey conceal wrap-around verandas which allow panoramic views of the rugged scenery. In line with the gastronomical purpose of the building, the roof plane is blanketed with aromatic and edible herbs.
