Incomec Xerex is a firm specialised in grainprocessing equipment, all they needed was some good working spaces for management and engineers, a space to receive clients and organize meetings. Starting point was a dull, tunnel like, outlived part of the factory.

Inspiration was drawn out of the firms activities : the basic material for the well-known rice waffles, a product for which they develop the machinery, became a key element in the design. Enclosed between two glass plates it forms translucent popcorn like walls, the glass plates fit into a wooden framework. Ceiling, floor and doors are just as the framework made out of Oak.

The wooden box houses private offices, a second black box contains lavatory and storage space. These boxes may be considered as the positive space. The negative space, the rest of the original hall, is left as a whole : original steel roof structures and bare walls were made visible. It contains the landscape office for the engineers, a waiting room and the meeting room.
